How about the Simple Solar in a Box?
The other day, Ready Solar announced the availability of this ground mount accessory for its modular Solar in a Box photovoltaic system. The ground mount is just one more accessory that fits well with Ready Solar's line of dead simple solar products. It bolts onto the integrated solar system and the tilt angle is established based on the distance between the front and back legs.
The Solar in a Box system was designed for easy order, shipment, and installation by contractors. Installation is estimated to take about 1/3 to 1/2 the time of a traditional system, and because there's a micro-inverter under each panel, there's no need to install a separate inverter or run a high-voltage DC wire to the inverter.
Each Solar in a Box unit comes with three solar modules combined to get a 500 Watt power rating (so you'll need two units to get a 1 kW system; the photos below show four units, or 2 kW, per roof). The total unit weighs 165 pounds and is about 8.5' x 5.5'. Depending on where you live and where you place the system, you could generate about 550 - 800 kWh per unit annually.
The difference between the ground mount and roof mount is about $10 dollars. If an out-of-the-box system like this seems interesting to you, you're probably curious about the price. one of our clients is the manufacturer of supertherm glad to see that you are contributing to their promotion. I wonder, whats the incentive for you to be posting about this topic? You seem to be interested in solar panels which is a good thing for our environment, as well as savings.
Our group has gathered volumes of research on container insulation and we haven't found anything better than Supertherm. There are cheaper ways that we have tried. Jesse Smith
