This is a new model drawing from my friend Devan Sophia, a Container Home Builder from Lake Jackson, Texas. His work can be seen at his site http://www.isbudesign.com/ and his Facebook page. This is one of his Facebook Photo Albums
Each ISBU container can hold
over 600,000 lbs on top of it, and that's still safe enough to travel
thousands of miles across oceans in tossing waves and through tropical
storms. So we can only imagine the possibilities these boxes have in
store for our future homes and commercial structures. Even as you are
reading this, the PhiloSophia design team is designing beach houses to
be built along the Gulf Coast here in Texas. Since the last hurricane
hit, there are numerous empty lots with owners that are starting to see
the advantages of building with these nearly indestructible boxes. Quote from Devan Sophia at isbudesign.com
Because we're
working with metal structures, the design applications are endless.
Cutting out sidewalls to accommodate for larger living areas, cutting
out windows and doors, adding fireplaces and shelving. It is all
accomplished with the simple application of a team of designers and
a crew of welders. The rest is finished out by your specifications with
the combined efforts of our welders and carpenters.
